I've heard from a few of you about spammed messages that appear to come
from this mailing list. I'm not sure how this is happening. The CyndisList
Mailing List has always been on emergency moderation, which means that I
have to approve all messages that go to the list. So, I'm not clear on
whether these somehow made it through on their own or if the headers were
faked making it appear that the messages came through my list. I've got an
email in to the people at RootsWeb to get an answer. In the meantime please
know that you should only ever receive messages from me on this list.
Always from my address: cyndi@cyndislist.com. And for the most part you
will only get two types of messages: What's New and Link Activity.
Additionally, I wrote previously about the server move causing a problem
with my regular daily emails. We've been working on it since it started in
January. Hopefully we are close to a fix. In the meantime I'm going to
manually send out some of the backlog. You can also see the What's New
links on the web site: http://ift.tt/1I3D3yi
I've processed more than 4,000 links in the past month. Whew!
Thanks for your patience as we figure all of this out,
Cyndi Ingle
