Thomas Alma Louis king B. 1892

I wonder if anyone could help me please?

I’m currently trying to help a lady with her family tree, and she is particularly keen to try and identify what happened to her maternal grandfather, Thomas Alma Louis King. Thomas was born in Peckham, London, in 1892, and later fought in the First World War.

In 1920 he sailed on the SS Grampian from Southampton to Quebec, arriving on 10th October. On the ocean arrival form Thomas identified the reason for moving to Canada as joining his cousins, one of whom was Charles Edward King of 205 Twentieth East Street, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Amongst his military records there is a 1921 communication from the War Department in London, to Thomas, addressed to him at the Municipal Hospital, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thomas was a fitter (engineer), and I believe it possible that he may have been employed at the hospital; the alternative being that he was a fairly long-term patient.

Unfortunately, after that, we've not been able to find any other mention of Thomas.

Any information would be very gratefully received.

Best wishes

Paul Gardner
